立呑 寅や
Tachinomi Toraya is a standing bar in Ookayama where you can enjoy drinks with potato salad, sashimi and namerō. Visitors have also shared their impressions of the sashimi and yukitora.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
A little potato salad, some sashimi and a drink, enjoyed at your own pace: that is the sort of standing-bar experience on offer at Tachinomi Toraya. The menu includes potato salad, a sashimi platter, namerō, three kinds of namul and motsu doteni, a stew of offal. Sashimi ordered separately by visitors included tuna and sea bream cured with kombu. There are options for those looking to focus on fish, as well as small dishes to pick at; one visitor enjoyed squid with vinegared miso served in a small cup.
Yukitora—thick fried tofu grilled over a mesh and served with plenty of grated daikon—was another dish a visitor ordered alongside sashimi. It offers an option when you want something other than fish. The bar has standing room for dining in and serves alcoholic drinks. One visitor enjoyed having a drink while waiting for the food, too; rather than rushing through a meal, the setting lends itself to choosing a few small dishes and savouring each drink.
